To get an official ID document for her higher education, Marina, adopted as a child, must reconnect with her paternal family, whom she does not know. Her arrival stirs up the past: by rekindling memories of her parents, she uncovers the family’s secrets and shame.

Carla Simón, a young Spanish directing prodigy and Golden Bear winner at Berlin in 2022, offers a sensitive portrait of a young woman searching for her origins, as well as a Spanish society weighed down by silence.
