The Festival's Team

Over six days, the Biarritz Film Festival – NOUVELLES VAGUES presents an international competition featuring eight new feature films in cinemas, shining a spotlight on youth, its stories, hopes and strength.

Since 2026, the Festival has also featured an international short film competition, programmed by Arnaud Mizzon. The feature film programme is curated by Mathilde Henrot, Director of Programming, in collaboration with a selection committee whose members are all under the age of 35.

The programme is the result of close collaboration with the Festival’s Board and team.
