THE FESTIVAL
The Biarritz Film Festival – NOUVELLES VAGUES aims to shine a spotlight on youth and new generations through a program that captures both the stories and the urgency of today’s youth.
Over the course of six days, the Biarritz Film Festival – NOUVELLES VAGUES presents an international competition of eight feature films premiering in French cinemas, highlighting the power, stories, and hopes of young people. Alongside the official competition, the Festival showcases over thirty additional films, including an open-air screening, the Gazteria section* screenings, and major previews.
Gathered in Biarritz, an international jury of artists under 35, a jury of international film students, and a jury of young Culture Pass holders will share with the public in screenings, talks, and discussions.
* Gazteria means “youth” in Basque.
