Rising pop idol Mai makes the unthinkable mistake: falling in love despite her contract. Dragged before the courts by her own agency, Mai and her companion choose to fight – not just for their future, but to defend the most basic and universal right: the right to love.
Koji Fukada’s new film portrays a young woman determined to risk everything to challenge the rules of Japanese society.
