An unusual heat wave hangs over the beaches of Les Landes. On his final day at the campsite, 17-year-old Marouane is haunted by a fear: will the body he buried on the beach the day before come to light? At the same time, he wonders whether he might be falling in love with the charming Giulia.

After directing several short films, Stéphane Demoustier, born in 1977, made his feature-film debut with Terre battue in 2014, followed by Allons enfants in 2018. His subsequent films, La Fille au bracelet, Borgo, and L’Inconnu de la Grande Arche, received several César Awards and were selected for prestigious international festivals. La Chaleur is his fifth feature film.
