Javier Calvo (1991) and Javier Ambrossi (1984), Madrid-based directors, screenwriters, and producers, are the creators of La Mesías (2023), the most awarded series in Spanish television history, as well as Veneno and Paquita Salas. They gained recognition with Holy Camp! (2017), they are now regarded as the most influential creative duo in the Spanish audiovisuallandscape. Their second feature film, La Bola Negra, was presented in Competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026, where it scooped the Best Director award.
