Bilbao in August. Jone, 20, is swept up in the excitement of her first love just as her father's Parkinson’s disease unexpectedly worsens – two events unfolding against the backdrop of the city's vibrant Semana Grande festivities. It’s a pivotal summer, one that forces her to confront the shift from adolescence to adulthood.
Balancing coming-of-age intimacy with the energy of a collective portrait, Sara Fantova’s debut feature marks the arrival of a promising new voice in Spanish cinema, crafting a sensitive portrayal of a young woman navigating between doubt and resolve.
