César 2026 for Best Short Fiction Film awarded to Mort d’un Acteur by Ambroise Rateau 

AMBROISE RATEAU

Ambroise Rateau, born in Paris in 1995, studied screenwriting at La Fémis. His first short film, Mort d’un acteur(Death of an Actor), won the César Award for Best Fiction Short Film in 2026. Fiction is his second short film. He is currently preparing his first feature film, L’Apocalypse, while also working on the adaptation of Thibault Raisse’s novel Le Con de minuit.
