Born in Tokyo in 1989, he studied at the European Film College in Denmark and graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2013. Twice nominated for a Crystal Bear at the Berlinale, he premiered his first feature, Paradise Drifters, at Berlinale 2020.
