2023 TEASER

The teaser for the 2023 International Biarritz Film Festival - NOUVELLES VAGUES was directed by Anna Apter and Ana Girardot.

"The Nouvelles Vagues Festival is the new cradle of youth stories. It's a new place for artistic encounters, creation, inventiveness, new energy, new ways of thinking and making cinema.

From the first day Anna and I spoke in February to the present day, we have experienced all the joys of making a film, while at the same time making it outside the norm. From Ouarzazate, New York, Biarritz to Paris, our team worked in unison, eye to eye, hand to hand, to achieve the magical synchronisation that cinema demands.

We couldn't have hoped for a better experience than this, especially as the subject touches us all and brings us together.

Because the stories of our youth speak to us more than any other. Because at any age they remind us of a period that leaves its mark forever.

So thank you to Dolan, Truffaut, Coppola, Jenkins, Gus Vant Sant , Spike Lee, Sciamma, Spielberg, Tornatore, all the orchestral conductors who have changed us forever and who are as much a part of today's cinema as we are. Thank you for your legacy.

And thank you to all our team for your magnificent energy that enabled this film to be made and to exist."
