1916. World War I. The Belgian front. Pierre has just joined the troops, eager to prove himself. Behind the lines, in the food and equipment supply unit, Francis organizes performances to keep the soldiers’ moraleup. As the fighting rages on, each man tries to escape the brutality of war, if only for a moment.

Lukas Dhont
Le premier film de Dhont, « Girl », a été présenté au Festival de Cannes, dans la section « Un Certain Regard », et a remporté la Caméra d’Or. Son deuxième film, « Close », a été sélectionné en Compétition et a remporté le Grand Prix. De plus, « Close » a été nominé pour un Oscar en 2023 dans la catégorie « Meilleur Film International ». Son troisième film, « Coward », était présenté en 2026 en première mondiale lors de la 79ième édition du Festival de Cannes. Les deux acteurs principaux ont reçu le prix du meilleur acteur.
